(More customer reviews)This bow has a lot of nice creative features. We intended to use it for our Scout program.
The arrow rest has a number of problems:
1. It is NOT an ambidextrous U shaped design.
2. It broke on the SECOND arrow fired.
3. The arrow rest is a plastic bolt with a arrow rest head that is VERY flimsy, looking much like the classic arrow rest shape and would not work left handed.
4. The arrow rest plastic bolt is TOO LONG to fit inside the "shoot through" opening. So you have to cut it or cram it.
5. The arrow rest plastic bolt threads so TIGHT you cannot thread it by hand and need a wrench, the wrench destroys the PLASTIC bolt in just a few turns, rendering it impractical to utilize it as ambrodextrous on a multi-child range, even if the arrow rest were well...ambidextrous, which it is not.
6. Once the arrow rest breaks, you need to buy two 1 1/4" fine thread bolts to thread in from the outside, thread a nut on each bolt on the inside, the place a washer next to each bolt, cut a short length of copper tubing that fits over the bolt threads, and thread each bolt all the way into the middle until they meet. Then you have built a smooth surface, bolt-supported and washer-width limited support for the arrow down the middle of the shoot through opening.
If you're willing to do that, great little bow.
